Apalachicola Coffee and Chocolate Company

One nice thing about visiting Apalachicola is that visitors are not overwhelmed by a plethora of junky gift shops and specialty stores.  There are plenty of stores to check out but they almost all tend to be relatively ‘special’…or of a higher quality than the ‘usual’ in a tourist orientated town.

What vacation destination/tourist town would be complete without a coffee shop and a source for decadent chocolates?  This is the Apalachicola Coffee Company in the center of downtown…

You like chocolates?  They have chocolates!  All chocolates are made in house…

How about coffee?  Yes they have coffee and many, many variations on the normal cup of black coffee too!

Yes…They do roast their coffee in house.  Actually the roaster is in the front window right next to the door.  It smelled so good!

If you want a bag of coffee, they have 2 different banks of these containers from which you select the type/strength of coffee you would like to take with you.

Did I mention that the Apalachicola Coffee Company also has a nice variety of homemade gelatos too?

In addition to the chocolates, coffee and gelato, this establishment also offers a luncheon selection of 7 different sandwiches, 3 soups plus a dessert selection including pastries, pie and cookies.

We visited this store after breakfast and before lunch… We managed to show some restraint, limiting ourselves to 2 of their luscious chocolates and a caramel!

The Apalachicola Coffee Company is located at 75 Market Street in Apalachicola Florida.  Phone: 850-653-1025.  They are on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Apalachicolachocolatecompany/?ref=page_internal.

That’s about it for now… Just click on any of the photos to enlarge them.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
